Advice and help
Advice on sexually transmitted infections
For many people, sex is the most beautiful thing in the world - but it can also transmit diseases. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) have various symptoms and can be caused by very different pathogens. If you suspect that you have contracted an STI, it is important that you seek advice. You can contact your gynecologist, urologist or dermatologist for this.
One anonymous option is the STI advice service provided by the public health department. It provides information on sexually transmitted diseases and offers free HIV tests.
Help with dementia
Dementia is one of the most common diseases in old age, affecting around 1.7 million people in Germany. However, when a person falls ill, it also affects their family. It is often the relatives who care for and look after the affected person, going through a rollercoaster of compassion, helplessness and despair. They invest a lot of energy and face a variety of practical challenges. It is therefore a good idea to seek advice on support options in good time.
The Care Support Center has an overview of the services available in Jena and will be happy to advise you.
