Infectious diseases

A large number of all diseases in Germanyare communicable diseases, i.e. infectious diseases.

These diseases are therefore of great importance both for the population and for healthcare. Efficient structures are necessary to prevent, detect, control and combat infectious diseases.

If you have any questions about notifiable infectious diseases, please do not hesitate to contact the staff at the public health department. The Infection Protection Act (IfSG) and the state ordinances form the basis for the work of the Infection Protection Team in the Health Department of the City of Jena.

The STIKO (Standing Committee on Vaccination) has issued a recommendation on vaccination against COVID-19. You can find the information here.
