Overview Infectious Diseases

A large number of all diseases in Germany are infectious diseases.

These diseases are therefore of great importance both for the population and for health care. Efficient structures are necessary to prevent, detect, control and combat infectious diseases.

If you have any questions about notifiable infectious diseases, you are welcome to contact the staff of the public health department. The basis for the work of the Infection Prevention Team in the Health Department of the City of Jena is the Infection Prevention Act (IfSG) and the regulations of the federal states.
